Learn to Practice, One Moment at a Time

Guided Meditation is a beginner-friendly meditation experience offered in a supportive, trauma-sensitive environment.

Whether you are completely new to meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice, the class introduces accessible techniques for attention, breath awareness, relaxation, mindfulness, and self-observation.

The goal is not to force the mind to become quiet. Instead, participants practice noticing thoughts, sensations, and distractions and gently returning attention to the present moment.

What You'll Practice

Breath Awareness

Use the breath as a simple anchor for attention, awareness, and presence.

Mindfulness

Practice noticing thoughts, sensations, and experiences with curiosity and less judgment.

Relaxation

Explore guided techniques that create space to slow down, settle, and reset.

Concentration

Practice noticing when attention wanders and gently returning to a chosen point of focus.

What a Class Typically Looks Like

Each session combines guided practice, education, and time to reflect on what you are learning.

Prepare

About 5 minutes of gentle movement and stretching to help prepare the body and attention.

Practice

About 20–25 minutes of guided meditation, typically seated in a chair or on the floor.

Reflect

About 10–15 minutes for questions, discussion, reflection, and problem-solving.

Take the Practice With You

Guided Meditation is designed to help you build skills that can extend beyond the class itself.

Sessions may include educational handouts, practical tips, and strategies for developing a realistic home meditation practice and navigating common challenges.

Regular participation can help build familiarity and confidence, but you are welcome to attend as your schedule allows.

A Supportive, Non-Religious Practice
