No. Several Elevate Yoga offerings are appropriate for beginners, while other classes may move at a faster pace or include more challenging progressions. Review the specific class description when registering.

Which class should I start with?

If you are new to yoga, Beginner Yoga is often a good place to start. Chair Yoga may be a good fit if you prefer additional support, while Slow Flow and Yoga Restore offer a more gradual pace. Contact Elevate if you would like help choosing a class.

What is the difference between Power Flow and Slow Flow?

Power Flow is generally a more active and continuous practice with greater emphasis on strength, movement, and conditioning.

Slow Flow moves at a more deliberate pace, allowing additional time for alignment, mobility, breath, and transitions.

What is Chair Yoga?

Chair Yoga uses a chair to support seated and standing practice. It can provide another way to explore mobility, strength, balance, breathing, and mindful movement.

What is MAMA Yoga?

MAMA stands for Movement, Awareness, Mindfulness & Alliance. MAMA Yoga is designed for pregnancy and early postpartum and includes stage-appropriate movement, mobility, strength, core and pelvic-floor awareness, balance, breathing, and time for connection.

Pre-crawling babies may be welcome in appropriate sessions. Review the current class details when registering.

Can I participate if I have an injury or recent surgery?

That depends on your individual circumstances and the specific class. If you have an injury, recent surgery, activity restrictions, or are currently in rehabilitation, follow the guidance of your healthcare professional and contact Elevate if you have questions about class fit or available modifications.

Can I participate during pregnancy or postpartum?

MAMA Yoga is specifically designed around pregnancy and early postpartum. Participation in other Yoga classes depends on your individual needs, stage, experience, and any guidance or restrictions from your healthcare professional.
