MAMMOTH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT PARTNERSHIP
Supporting healthy, active, curious students and connected families.
As part of Elevate's broader partnership with Mammoth Unified School District, we work with Mammoth Elementary School on age-appropriate movement, wellness education, and family engagement.
Current collaboration includes Alternative Ski P.E. and participation in Family University Night, along with opportunities to connect families with broader Elevate resources.
Alternative Ski P.E. Family University Night Explore the MUSD Partnership
Elementary school is an important time for children to build movement skills, confidence, curiosity, and everyday health habits.
At Mammoth Elementary, Elevate supports experiences that help students move, learn, try new things, and connect health and wellbeing with everyday life.
The partnership also creates opportunities to engage parents and caregivers and help families discover resources available beyond the school setting.
Create positive, age-appropriate opportunities to build balance, coordination, strength, confidence, and enjoyment through physical activity.
Bring practical wellness education and interactive experiences to parents, caregivers, and students.
Help families discover Elevate programs, events, and resources available beyond the school day.
MOVEMENT + OUTDOORS
Mammoth Elementary School's Alternative Ski P.E. program creates another way for students to participate in movement during the winter season.
Elevate supports the program with age-appropriate movement, fitness, and wellness activities designed to help students stay active, build physical skills, and participate in a positive group environment.
Programming may vary by season and student needs, but the focus remains on helping students move, learn, and build confidence through activity.
Through Alternative Ski P.E., students can practice many of the same physical skills that support active play, sports, and outdoor recreation.
Practice body control, balance, coordination, and movement through age-appropriate activities.
Explore running, jumping, landing, strength, mobility, and other fundamental movement skills.
Build comfort with movement, trying new activities, and participating alongside peers.
Youth movement programs can also create opportunities to practice confidence, teamwork, persistence, curiosity, and problem-solving.
Elevate approaches youth wellness with an emphasis on participation, exploration, and helping kids build positive relationships with movement.
The goal is not to identify the best athlete. It is to help more children find ways to move that feel meaningful, challenging, and enjoyable.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Elevate participates in Mammoth Elementary School's Family University Night to bring interactive wellness education and community resources directly to students, parents, and caregivers.
Activities may change from year to year and can include movement, healthy habits, mind-body skills, safety, and other family wellness topics.
Elevate activities at family events may include interactive education around topics such as:
Simple, practical ways for children and families to move together and stay active.
Explore sleep, nutrition, recovery, routines, and other everyday wellbeing habits.
Build age-appropriate awareness around preparedness, physical activity, and caring for yourself and others.
Explore simple strategies for attention, stress, breathing, and self-regulation.
Use hands-on activities to make health, movement, and wellbeing interesting and understandable.
Help families discover local programs, classes, events, and wellness resources.
