COMMUNITY AWARENESS & ACTION
Move. Connect. Remember. Learn. Give.
Community Awareness & Action brings people together around health topics and causes that matter.
These Elevate special events combine community, education, movement, remembrance, advocacy, and sometimes fundraising to create meaningful ways to participate beyond the walls of healthcare.

Some health experiences call for more than information alone.
They call for connection, visibility, remembrance, shared experience, and opportunities to take action together.
Community Awareness & Action events create space for our community to gather around important health causes in ways that may be educational, active, reflective, supportive, or simply fun.
Every event is different, but each begins with the same idea: community can be part of wellbeing.
The format of each event is shaped by the community and cause it is designed to support.
Walk, run, skate, curl, play, or participate in another activity that brings people together.
Connect the event with useful information, health education, screening awareness, or community resources.
Gather with neighbors, families, friends, healthcare professionals, and community partners around a shared cause.
Raise awareness, support a program, honor an experience, share resources, volunteer, or contribute to meaningful change.
Bring visibility to an important health topic while connecting participants with credible information and resources.
Use walking, running, hockey, curling, or another shared activity as a way to gather people around a cause.
Create meaningful space to recognize experiences of loss, illness, caregiving, survivorship, or other shared journeys.
Some events may raise funds for local programs, services, community organizations, or health-related causes.
Connect participants with healthcare, nonprofit, support, prevention, or other local resources.
Celebrate resilience, survivorship, community, progress, and the people who make a difference.
Events may return annually or develop around health awareness months, community needs, and opportunities to collaborate with local partners.
Walk together for breast health awareness, community connection, and access to mammography services.
Gather in remembrance and connection for families and community members touched by pregnancy and infant loss.
A future Movember-inspired pickup hockey event bringing men's health, prostate cancer awareness, and community onto the ice.
A future community curling event designed to increase endometriosis awareness, create connection, and bring attention to women's health.
Health awareness events do not have to feel like traditional health fairs.
A walk, hockey game, curling tournament, community gathering, art activity, or remembrance ceremony can create a different way for people to engage with an important topic.
Elevate uses movement, creativity, community, and education to design experiences that are approachable, meaningful, and connected to the people they are intended to serve.
When appropriate, events may include health education, expert speakers, screening information, hands-on learning, or connections to local services.
The goal is not simply to put a health topic on a poster. It is to help people understand why it matters and where they can turn for credible information or support.
Some Community Awareness & Action events may also connect with a Live Well Mammoth educational event when a deeper conversation would benefit the community.

Community Awareness & Action is broader than fundraising.
Some events may raise money for a defined program or cause. Others may focus on awareness, remembrance, education, support, or community connection.
When an event includes fundraising, the event page will clearly identify where proceeds go and how participation supports the cause.
Many of these events are strongest when they are built with community partners.
Elevate may collaborate with Mammoth Hospital departments, healthcare professionals, nonprofits, schools, businesses, sports organizations, patient advocates, foundations, and other community groups to create events around shared priorities.
Partnerships may include education, event activities, volunteers, resources, fundraising, sponsorship, space, or other support.
