This gentle movement series is designed to introduce participants to the foundations of qigong, a centuries-old practice that blends posture, breath, and mindful attention to support whole-body wellness.
A skilled movement and martial arts practitioner will guide you through Ba Duan Jin, or “Eight Pieces of Brocade,” one of the most well-known and approachable qigong routines.
Qigong Essentials is suitable for beginners, older adults, and anyone looking for a low-impact way to restore resilience. Each class breaks down one of the eight movements, exploring how simple, intentional motion can improve balance, mobility, and energy regulation.
Tai Chi & Qigong Labs explore time-honored movement practices that blend gentle strength, mindful breathing, and coordinated flow. Each session helps participants cultivate steadiness, body awareness, and ease of movement through accessible forms drawn from traditional Chinese martial and healing arts.
Regular practice supports physical and mental well-being by enhancing coordination, reducing tension, improving lower-body strength, and calming the nervous system. Many participants notice improved focus, steadier balance, and a greater sense of grounding.
Sessions focus on slow, intentional patterns that improve balance, joint mobility, posture, and breath control.
