Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a gentle, evidence-based approach that uses movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to support healing and overall well-being. Guided by a certified yoga therapist, sessions are tailored to individual health needs—such as chronic pain, stress, injury recovery, or mobility limitations—and are appropriate for all levels. Yoga therapy complements medical care and empowers patients to take an active role in their healing journey.

  • Yoga therapy is a compassionate, personalized approach to healing and well-being. Rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga and informed by modern science, yoga therapy welcomes you exactly as you are—whether you are healing, grieving, or simply seeking more peace and joy in your life. This nurturing process supports your whole self—body, mind, and heart. It is not about achieving perfection or pushing yourself; it’s about honoring your unique journey, listening deeply to your body and heart, and discovering practices that bring comfort, resilience, and hope.

  • Yoga therapy is for anyone, whether you are:

    • Experiencing physical, mental, or emotional distress or imbalances

    • Recovering from injury or surgery

    • Living with chronic pain or illness

    • Seeking support for any aspect of your mental health or emotional wellbeing

    • Coping with trauma, grief, or major life transitions

    • Seeking greater self awareness, peace, and wellbeing

    • Or simply wanting to learn new ways to manage stress and find more joy

  • Your yoga therapy journey begins with a comprehensive intake session with a certified yoga therapist. In this safe, nurturing, and judgment-free space, you will share your story, your challenges, and your goals with your yoga therapist. Together, you will gently explore not just your symptoms, but the deeper root causes of distress, whether they are physical, emotional, or mental. Each session is customized to meet you where you are and may include:

    • Gentle, accessible movement (Asana): Adapted postures to improve mobility, strength, and comfort.

    • Breathwork (Pranayama): Techniques to calm the mind, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance.

    • Mindfulness & Meditation: Practices to develop awareness, reduce stress, and foster emotional resilience.

    • Guided Relaxation: Methods to promote deep rest and healing.

    • Wellness Skills & Lifestyle Support: Practical tools and routines to support your everyday wellbeing.

    • Support & Education: Compassionate guidance, encouragement, and information to help you understand yourself better and take steps toward healing.

Each session is unique, responding to where you are and what you need most. Throughout your yoga therapy sessions, you’ll be empowered with practical skills and tools you can integrate into your daily life. The aim is to help you uncover, discover, and address the root issues that may be causing distress or making life more challenging than it needs to be.
