Community Expectations & Code of Conduct

 

The purpose of Elevate is to promote positive lifestyle practices to improve community members' health and quality of life. In order to achieve this, the Elevate community, including instructors, facilitators, staff, and participants, agree to the following expectations and code of conduct:

We will:

  • Empower one another through education, practical skill-building, and connection to resources.

  • Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

  • Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality.*

  • Be honest and truthful.

  • Be attentive, focused, and engaged.

  • Listen attentively and not interrupt.

  • Be open-minded and respectful of the opinions of others.

  • Avoid opinions about politics, religion, or passing judgment about others.

  • Avoid colorful or offensive language.

  • Participants under 18 years of age must obtain legal guardian consent for participation and provide the contact information for this legal guardian. Instructors/facilitators may contact the legal guardian to discuss any specific concerns about participation or engagement.
