Debbie North

Fitness & Nutrition Coach

Debbie is a fitness and nutrition coach whose original educational background was as a scientist with a passion for environmental protection. Debbie held research positions at Dartmouth College, UC Berkeley, and CalTech and was employed by the Washington State Department of Ecology working on matters including urban water pollution control, industrial water quality permits, and hazardous waste cleanup. While working on conservation projects in California later in her career, Debbie had a “life wakeup call” when her body crashed and her health plummeted. She quit her job and learned how to optimize her nutrition and build her body back up. As she found her way back to health, she also found a new calling: to inspire others to stay healthy and thrive through midlife and beyond. Debbie says, “I entered the environmental field wanting to do my part to make the world a better place. What I realized when I left the field is that the world would be a better place if more people were healthier and felt good in their bodies.”

Debbie offers small group fitness classes through Elevate and is skilled at identifying and correcting movement dysfunctions, explaining the “why” for every activity, and helping participants shape their path to reach their health and fitness goals. Debbie may be reached by email at trailtrainer@gmail.com
