Tassi Kenney, RN, BSN

Diabetes Educator

Tassi is the primary care nurse supervisor in the Family Medicine clinic at Mammoth Hospital.  Following school and prior to coming back home to her "happy place" in the mountains, Tassi worked in Southern California as an LA County public health nurse helping people without homes access resources and medical care and later as a Children's Hospital of Orange County pediatric nurse, working especially with patients newly diagnosed with diabetes.

Tassi's own diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes at a young age and her personal experience living with this condition have fueled her passion for diabetes education and support.  Tassi has served as a diabetes youth camp counselor and as an American Diabetes Association conference speaker teaching new endocrinologists about the importance of emotional support and community during a new diagnosis of diabetes.  Tassi also has a heart for outreach and volunteerism, and she has participated in mission trips in Mexico building homes and providing childcare at orphanages.
