Intro to Yoga

This 4-week series lays a foundation for practice through introducing participants to yoga history, philosophy, purpose & benefits, breath work, and basic positions & shapes.  All sessions will end with a brief guided meditation, and modifications are offered so poses are accessible to all participants.

This class is open to all levels with no prior experience necessary.

  • Yoga Foundations

    Yoga history, philosophy, purpose, benefits, and sutras.

  • Sun Salutations & Forward/Backward Bends

    Link breath to movement through a series of 12 flowing asanas and poses intended to flex and extend the spine.

  • Twists & Inversions

    Calm the nervous system, reduce joint pressure, and create movement in the abdominal region.

  • Pranayama & Yoga Nidra

    Breathing practices, meditation techniques, and guided deep relaxation.
